Creating wooden spline trackbed

Some of the W&MR is on the ground in a gravel roadbed, and some is elevated through gardens.

The elevated track is made of two splines connected by spacers. The splines are made from lattice lath or batten, in treated pine. It is spaced apart with 50x50 H3 or H4 treated wooden posts and blocks cut from posts. The blocks are attached with liquid nails and screws, or screws alone if I suspect I may need to adjust it later.
