Demolishing a railroad

It is a tough call to demolish a railroad. it is an even tougher call to retire from one scale and sell all your gear. But that is what I am doing.

For two years my HO railroad sat there staring at me, untouched. Whereas the G scale galloped ahead.

I need to simplify my life. HO demands a room in the house and a lot of detailed work. G scale is outside, relaxed and fast to develop. but I can dig into detailed G scale structures, automation, scratch building and technology if i want to.

So the Port Bonifacio is a scene of devastation right now: I'm pulling it apart.

Worse, we have decided to move, so the garden railway's days are numbered too. but that will rise again in the new location: the HO won't.
