Last Run

The Pukerua Bay wind stayed away, the mist and drizzle washed the tracks, then the watery autumn sun warmed the railroad for the Grand Opening and the Last Run.

No speechifying, just a convivial crowd of like minds, a few beers and sausages, and trains goin' round. Thanks to all those who attended, especially those who brought trains to run.

We may do one last run for the neighbors who still haven't seen the railway working, after all these years of s l o w construction, then the disassembly begins. The rails come up, the wiring gets pulled up, and the area reverts back to vegetable garden for the new owners.
