Wiring devices
The following devices have been invented or adopted by the SPL.
This is a hub for distributing out Loconet signal, ie connecting one cable to many.
SPL2 “Tuatara” Tortoise connector
This device interconnects a DS54, a Tortoise, and a fascia-mounted switch and LEDs.
This device turns on and off power to bits of rail on a DoubleSlip Switch to reduce the chance of shorts as wheels go through.
This device gets between a DS54 and the four cables going out to the Tuataras, allowing a 16-way cable to connect off to a remote control panel to duplicate (and disable) the functions of the fascia control switches.
SPL5 “Paua” manual turnout connector
This device connects to a DS54 to feed back turnout position information for mainline manually-controlled turnouts, as well as controlling frog polarity
