SPL2 “Tuatara” Tortoise connector

This device interconnects a DS54, a Tortoise, and a fascia-mounted switch and LEDs. One plug connects to the fascia-mounted pushbutton unit, one to the Tortoise and one to the DS54.

The DS54 and pushbutton cables use the same RJ12 plug so don’t mix them up!!! They are supposed to be colour coded one yellow but don’t trust it: check! The RJ11 is colour-coded red to indicate it is not a LocoNet socket

The three screw terminals on the end are to attach to the Run/carrier bus (ie track power), and to the frog. The frog is always a white wire, and the screw terminals should be nmarked white at one end to show here it goes. The Run/carrier wires should come from the local track power for the block the turnout is in. Which way round they go requires a bit of experimentation to see what matches the frog polarity.
