Port Bonifacio
Port Bonifacio
An HO double-deck sectional shelf railroad featuring double track Southern Pacific main somewhere near Port Costa in San Francisco, a steam museum, two decks and a train elevator, all in a 10 foot by 11 foot study while still making room for a workshop, windows on two walls and a wall full of bookcases!

Physical areas vs power districts
The Port Bonifacio railroad is sectional. So power feeds need to go to each section.
Mounting a Digitrax Zephyr on a panel
Not only do Digitrax's user interfaces suck, but so too do their hardware aesthetics.
Aligning track at sections, modules, lift-outs etc...
the Port Bonifacio layout employs several different techniques for aligning track at joins.
12V power supply
I can source from a recycler for about $15 large power supplies in a heavy case with front handle, fan, mains socket, switch, fuse, terminal strip etc etc
Microlighting using surface-mount LEDs
have done some experimenting. The roundhouse will have outside lights made this way. I see someone is selling these pre-soldered to leads.
Cheap quick lighting reflectors
Here's a source of cheap quick reflectors for mains power-saver fluoro lightbulbs
Port Bonifacio Upper Deck
The upper deck is permanently built into the room.
